What this site is — and is not
House Water Guide is a documentation-based site. Articles explain what a system does, what it takes to install, how its specifications and certifications are structured, where independent listings agree or disagree with the manufacturer's claims, and which kind of household each approach fits.
We do not publish scores, star ratings or "best overall" badges. A single number hides the trade-offs that actually decide a purchase — flow rate against filtration stages, upfront cost against cartridge cost — and we prefer to show those trade-offs directly. When an article is based on first-hand installation or use, it says so explicitly.
Nothing here is professional advice. Plumbing and electrical work is regulated locally, and the details that matter most — whether your supply is on a closed system, what your pressure is, what your local code requires — vary house by house.
